Today I received confirmations of two more contacts/countries. This brings my DXCC tally to 50 (44 on 17m)!
In alphabetical order they are: -
Asiatic Russia, Australia, Balearic Islands, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Canary Islands, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Estonia, European Russia, Federal Republic of Germany, Finland, France, Ghana, Guam, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Kaliningrad, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Madeira Islands, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Palau, Philippines, Poland, Republic of Korea, Romania, Singapore, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Wales and West Malaysia.
I suspect the second 50 will be a lot harder to get.

After being licensed for decades I have finally started to explore DXing. And today received my first two awards. Not much I know, but it's a start! These contact were mainly on FT-8, all under 10w, and from the balcony on the mag-loop.

I now also have 48 DXCC countries confirmed with LoTW.
Monsoon and Lowering the Tower
The monsoon has finally come to Darwin, and with the rain there
has been some very strong winds. I felt that it was time to lower the tower, as
the last thing I want is to have my neighbours complaining about my antenna
being in their property. Some people
have electric winches, or other elaborate setups. Mine is quite simple, I just pick it up and
lay it down.

DXCC and WAZ
A few more confirmations have come through, on the DXCC (37) and WAZ (17). All on 10w or less and on the Mag-Loop.
I've been a licensed operator for 30 years and I've only just started with this DX side of the hobby. So much leaning to do!
